Course Overview
Projects-based BIM Revit Air-Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV) Modelling Training will impart the knowledge and skills for aspiring and existing professionals in the Built Environment to create air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation (ACMV) Building Information Modelling (BIM) models and detail drawings in Revit.
This is a course tailored for Built Environment professionals who are required to create ACMV models and shop drawings in Revit, thus enabling them to participate and build on the digital database of a construction project.
Course Curriculum
LO1: Read and visualise ACMV equipment, systems, and technical drawings
LO2: Create a new ACMV model by linking Computer Aided Design (CAD) and other reference BIM models using mechanical templates
LO3: Acquire coordinates and set up grids and levels by copy monitor
LO4: Manage visibility graphic overrides for ACMV model
LO5: Establish mechanical settings for ducts, properties, and routing preference based on the required specification
LO6: Load, place, and modify mechanical equipment and air terminal based on the required specification and location
LO7: Create and modify ducting layout based on the required specification and routing
LO8: Conduct checks and testing of ACMV systems
LO9: Create a parametric Air Handling Unit (AHU) with connectors based on the required dimension
LO10: Generate a schedule of Mechanical equipment for technical specification purposes
LO11: Generate customized tagging of ducts for specification purposes
LO12: Create 2D and 3D ACMV views from BIM model in accordance with the Code of Practice for BIM e-Submission for Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) Requirements
LO13: Place ACMV layout in Title Block
