Course Overview
The Projects-based BIM Revit Architecture Modelling Basic Course will impart the necessary knowledge and skills for aspiring and existing BIM Modellers (Digital Delivery Specialists) and Architects to effectively use different modelling features and tools to create architectural elements in Revit.
Learners will also explore the wide array of fundamental modelling features and strategies for modelling architectural building elements.
By the end of the course, learners will be able to use Revit to create basic 3D models for architectural equipment, components, and systems.
Course Curriculum
LO1. Explain the relevance of ISO 19650 and SIngapore BIM guide to BIM Modelling
LO2. Create toposurface, subregion, and building pad for preparation of site plan
LO3. Create massing and update-to-face for architectural conceptual design
LO4. Create architectural elements such as roof, walls, and floors by face for efficient architectual conceptual design
LO5. Create and modify architectural elements such as columns, walls, floors, curtain walls, ceiling, and roof
LO6. Create and modify circulation elements such as stars, stair openings, railings, and ramps
LO7. Place and manipulate architecture elements to create architectural designs
LO8. Place and manipulate circulation elements to create architectural designs
LO9. Apply numerical calculation and spatial visualization to create parametric families.
Course Relevance To Employment
This course is suitable for aspiring and existing practitioners of the Built Environment who create and manage basic architectural BIM models using Revit.
This course is a pre-requisite for Revit Architecture Advance.

Assessment
At the end of this course, learners will go through an assessment.
Learners who achieve the Course Completion Requirements will be accorded a WSQ certificate.
Entry Requirements
Recommended for individuals with at least a Diploma in a relevant course of study (i.e. engineering / architecture / green building and sustainability / any built-environment related course)
English language proficiency at GCE O'level of C6 and above, or WSQ Workplace Literacy skills of Level 6 and above.
Possess basic Information and Communication Technology (ICT) skills.
* Learners who do not qualify in terms of education but have at least one year working experience in the Built Environment will be admitted on a case-by-case basis.
