Course Overview
Projects-based BIM OpenRail Designer Modelling and Documentation will impart the knowledge and skills for aspiring and existing professionals in the Built Environment to create BIM database for rail and road network assets.
In this course, learners will first understand the context and application of OpenRail on real-world projects through reading and visualizing rail alignment data and drawings. They will then be taken through the step-by-step process of setting up a new rail project file, establishing model settings, creating 3D alignments, various strategies for creating tunnel templates, applying canting, turnouts and generating documentation. Through acquiring these skills, learners will be able to participate in creating and managing the BIM database for infrastructure projects.
